V-port control
The V-port control ball valve is also known as V-ball valve or V-shaped ball valve. It is used to control the flow, the pressure or the temperature of industrial fluids running through a network. It is a light, compact, economical solution compared to traditional control systems. Stability and accuracy are the main advantages of the V-port ball valve.
Syveco offers two different models of three-piece V-port ball valve, coming with ½’’ to 2’’ diameters. The bodies and balls are in CF8M stainless steel, while the seat is in RTFE (PTFE + 15% graphite, improving creep strength). V-port ball valves also have multiple other technical features:
- Full bore
- BW or SW BSP connections
- 0 to 90° graduated stainless-steel arcade with blocking screw
- Antistatic device
- Double sealing at gland packing
- Easy disassembly for maintenance purposes
- TA LUFT or FIRE SAFE certifications (depending on the models)
Moreover, the V-port can offer two different aperture angles: 30 degrees, for precise adjustments and weak flows, or 60 degrees, for bigger flows and less precise adjustments.
The maximum operating pressure is 63 bar or 137 bar depending on the references (isobar valves).
Last, fully automated versions (electric or pneumatic) of V-port control ball valves are available, allowing control according to a given criterion.
