Stainless steel ball valve 714 2-piece body BSP Dry clean
Presentation of the two-piece stainless-steel ball valve for oxygen
The importance of dry-cleaning two-piece stainless-steel ball valves for oxygen
Although oxygen is not a flammable gas itself, it is still dangerous as it supports combustion. This is the reason why two-piece ball valves should always be totally oil-free during assembling and undergo a meticulous dry-cleaning treatment before first use. Greasy products and lubricants especially are banned from use with these valves: they represent a very high risk of spontaneous combustion or explosion if they come in contact with oxygen.
Two-piece stainless-steel ball valves for oxygen: ultrasonic cleaning procedure
Every part of this kind of valve goes through an ultrasonic cleaning procedure before being assembled. Holding it with a crane, an operator first plunges the component into a clean heated solution (70-100 °C, for better air drying of product), then activates the supersonic generator, and moves the component up and down for two minutes. Next step, the operator takes the component to the bleacher tank (where the bleaching solution is kept clean but not heated) for one minute, in order to better clean the outer sides of the product. It is then taken back to the washer tank for one minute maximum to clean the bleach solution from the product. Last, the component is left to cool down on the workstation before being put together with other parts.
Syveco's offer
