Valves
Syveco plastic valves and fittings range
Syveco plastic valves and fittings range offers elements in two different materials: PVC-U or PP.
What are the benefits of PVC-U valves?
PVC-U, or polyvinyl chloride, has got many qualities:
- It requires few investments as far as tools and fittings are concerned,
- It is highly resistant to corrosion and chemical products, especially to acids and alkalines,
- It has been proved to be physiologically safe.
Moreover, the pressure rating class goes up to 16 bar, and it withstands temperatures ranging from 0 °C to +60 °C, giving it great thermal stability. While it is widely employed in the industrial piping sector - it has real qualities in terms of safety, efficiency, and reliability - PVC-U should not be used with aromatic solvents or with low and high temperatures (< 0 °C and > 60 °C).
PP-H and its advantages
PP-H, or homopolymer polypropylene in its full form, withstands up to 10 bar of pressure and +10 °C to +80 °C temperatures. This material is economic. It is also resistant to acids, alkalines, mild solvents and more generally to corrosion. It is a thermoplastic material with numerous physical, mechanical, thermal, and electrical qualities: it is used in a great number of domestic and industrial applications. However, it shouldn’t be used under 0 °C, nor with oxidizing acids or halogens.
Where are plastic valves used?
Plastic valves and fittings are widely used in a large number of industrial sectors such as power stations, the chemical industry, the surface treatment sector, the navy, the environment sector or water treatment activities.
